A Psychologist's Guide for nurturing mindful adults and kids: Eastern & Western Perspectives

Join the Australian Psychological Society’s Buddhism & Psychology Interest Group for an inspiring four-part online workshop series with Dr. Belinda Siew Luan Khong, author of Raising Spring Kids. Kicking off on World Mental Health Day – Friday, 10 October 2025 at 6pm, this unique course blends Eastern and Western approaches to mindfulness, offering fresh insights for parents, educators, psychologists, health professionals, and anyone working with children.

Grounded in Belinda’s latest book, the series explores how mindfulness can nurture both adults and kids to be more resilient, compassionate, and balanced. Participants will discover practical techniques to support families in embodying qualities captured in the SPRING model – Spiritual, Positive, Resilient, Imaginative, Nimble, and Grateful – and the GREAT principles – Generous, Respectful, Empathetic, Appreciative, and Thoughtful.

Through engaging discussions and practical strategies, Belinda will demonstrate how mindfulness fosters stronger relationships, enhances wellbeing, and empowers children and adults alike to flourish in today’s fast-paced world.

This event is ideal for those seeking to deepen their personal practice or bring a mindful, evidence-based approach into their professional and family lives.
